Teething
Appearance of first tooth in an infant marks a significant developmental landmark for parents.
Eruption of tooth through gums is called teething.
Difficulties associated with eruption of new tooth is a transient phase and generally disappears.
However, some children may find it very difficult to cope up and may be help by a pediatric dentist.
Parents may notice: Redness or swelling of the gums over the erupting tooth, General irritability, Loss of appetite, Sleeplessness, Increased salivation and drooling, Circumoral rash, sometimes fever and also frequent motions.
